FULL ITINERARY
DAY 1: SERVAL WILDLIFE & CHEMKA HOT SPRINGS
Today begins with a pick up at your accommodation at 8:30 AM after breakfast. We head to Serval Wildlife to arrive in time for check-in at around 10 AM. This privately-owned wildlife sanctuary is located in the Siha District of Kilimanjaro (approximately 90 minutes from Arusha City) with easily accessible roads.
Unlike typical game drives in national parks, a visit to Serval Wildlife allows you a unique opportunity to enjoy a one-on-one interact with the wildlife where you can feed, pet, and take photos with giraffe, zebras, antelopes, lion, and ostrich. The setting is designed for rescued, rehabilitated animals, for the purpose of conservation and education, offering a rare opportunity to observe wildlife in a space where human presence doesn’t feel intrusive.
In the afternoon, before heading to Chemka, your driver will serve lunch, and if you’re comfortable with it, you can enjoy it on the go. The trip takes you to Chemka, a hidden oasis nestled within lush vegetation at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. This geothermal spring is a stunning surprise, with crystal-clear turquoise waters fed by underground volcanic activity. Get ready to take a plunge into warm, mineral-rich waters soon after your arrival. It’s very easy to appreciate how time seems to slow down as you relax here, with the only interruptions coming from the occasional fish nibbling at your toes.
As the day winds down, an early evening drive takes you back to Arusha, with drop-off at your hotel or preferred location. The combination of wildlife encounters and a refreshing dip in Chemka leaves a lasting sense of adventure. An experience that carries the essence of Tanzania’s raw beauty while offering moments of quiet escape.

DAY 2: LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK - FULL DAY
You will be met by your guide at your accommodation and driven to Lake Manyara, arriving with plenty of time for an afternoon game-drive. An incredible part of safari experience on the northern safari circuit – but often overlooked – Lake Manyara offers an experience of its own caliber, and makes an unforgettable, jaw-dropping stopover for a day trip.
Upon check-in at the park gate, you’ll immediately notice the lush groundwater forest – a dense, green haven alive with the chatter of monkeys and the rustling of leaves as bushbuck and baboons roam freely. This first impression provides a perfect glimpse of the park’s unique ecosystems and rich biodiversity.
As you drive further afield into the park, you will likely encounter one of Manyara’s most iconic sights – the tree-climbing lions, lounging on acacia branches. The park is also home to large elephant herds, zebras, giraffes, and a dazzling variety of avian species, including pink-hued flamingos along the alkaline shores of the lake. The Great Rift Valley escarpment looms dramatically in the background, dominating the park’s geography and providing a striking contrast to the shimmering lake below. At midday, enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated spot, taking in the sights and sounds of this vibrant wilderness. Afterward, resume your game drive, keeping an eye out for hippos wallowing in the water, grazing wildebeest, and other wildlife traversing the area.
